Getting there
How to get there by public transport
Griesalp is located at the rear of the Kiental, a side valley of the Kandertal on the Bern – Brig Lötschberg railway line. You travel either from Brig or Bern by Regio Express called "Lötschberger" directly to Reichenbach, where in summer the postbus is waiting to take you on the spectacular ride to Griesalp.
The journey by masterfully chauffeured yellow bus leads on lovely village Kiental past up to Tschingelsee and from here on the steepest mountain postal route in Europe centimeter through hairpin curves up to Griesalp.
How to get there by car
The signalized parking spaces at Lake Tschingel and on Griesalp are numbered and subject to charge. The steep section of the route with hairpin bends is regulated by a one-way traffic system.
How to get there on foot
On the Via Alpina from Mürren to Poganggenalp and over the Sefinenfurgge Pass, or from Kandersteg either hiking or with the aerial gondola to Öschinensee and then over the Hohtürli Pass. Both pass hikes take around 7.5 hours, 1 hour less if using the aerial gondola.
How to get there by taxi
Should the postbus not be available when required, Gerber-Taxi in Reichenbach will be happy to provide further transport.
